"What an amazing hotel! Stumbled upon it by accident and I’m so glad I did, I slept so peacefully in the magnificent bed. The whole place has been decorated beautifully and maintained the character of the building! "

"Arrived in the evening with a lovely warm welcome. Room was a really good size and beautifully furnished right down to the quality, choice and presentation of the in room tea/coffee. Free Wi-Fi and USB charging points by bed was appreciated. Breakfast choice, quality and service also excellent. Would definitely stay again. "

"This is the place we have always wanted to stay. It was exceptional in every way. We were welcomed warmly and shown to our wonderful room with its large bay window and superb amenities. The bathroom was large and had as much space for our toiletries as we could wish. The walk in shower was equipped with two showers no less, and there were two hand basins too. We were given detailed recommendations about local places where we could dine, the best of which, Loughpool Kitchen served very good...

"Great place to stay right in the heart of Crickhowell. Apartment had everything one could need including quality toiletries, breakfast and towels. Parked in the local school car park for free on the weekend (4min walk). Will definitely be back."

Our compact accommodation was very clean, cosy, comfortable and had all we needed, with a generous supply of teas, coffee and Welsh cakes in the room. At breakfast, there was a wide choice of quality ingredients to choose from, carefully prepared and presented in impeccable style. A nice touch was the freshly squeezed orange juice. "Much nicer than the photos! Beautifully clean and cozy! Very well equipped, everything and more than you would need, washer with dryer, dishwasher, stove, microwave. Comfy beds, beautiful linens, plenty of thick towels, nice tiled bathroom. One of the nicest cottages we’ve ever rented. They even put up a little Xmas tree for us! "

"Roy was an exceptional host, he was very informative about how to get to the property as the sat nav was a little bit unreliable. He showed us around the hut with all the facilities that were available. The hut had everything u could possible need. It was beautiful and relaxing and I cannot fault it at all. "The room I stayed in in this beautiful building was possibly one of the most beautiful I have ever stayed in. However when it came to the service of the staff there was a lot left to be desired... and this was in no means the fault of the staff of which there were only two... to run the bar and service the needs of the guests. I did feel that it was odd that every time I called the hotel before arriving that there was never anyone manning the phone, but regardless we were not put off. If I was to visit again, I would want to know that I wouldn't have to wait at an empty bar for 12 minutes before being served (I know the 2 staff, one of which was a trainee) were busy with the dining but at £270 a night, that isn't good enough and not my problem... I don't wish to seem petty but lots of other short comings occurred like being first into the dining hall and one of last to have our order taken, waiting until the end of our starter before our drinks arrived and taking far too long to reseat us when my wife couldn't read the menu because of the dim light. I get that there was only two staff and there were 10 couples in the dining room but this is a failing from a managerial point of view which I definitely didn't expect from such a seemingly highbrow establishment. "
