"I liked that the hotel rang me 1x week prior to my stay to make sure I was happy and to remind me of everything they have to offer so that I could book in advance. The staff were extremely friendly and took time to make sure I was well looked after even thought they had a wedding to attend to on the day of our arrival. The breakfast was brilliant with plenty of options and the location and ability to take in the views from the hotel was perfect "

"The location is great, near the centre of the town The related Erskine Arms is lovely with attentive and helpful staff and nice food. The breakfasts were very really good. Nice big rooms and plenty of hot water. The only downside was the beds. In our first room, the mattress needed replacing, as the springs had gone. In the second, the plastic mattress protector made for a sweaty night. The staff were very helpful in arranging a room change. Book a table for dinner at a weekend. As it turned out...

"Lovely stay over Easter weekend, owners are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful (great fish and chip recommendation!). Location is just off the high street so quiet at night but very convenient to seafront, shops and bars etc. Breakfast was absolutely lovely, had Full English one day and Eggs Florentine the second, both freshly hand cooked and fresh coffee and juices too. Thoroughly recommended!"

"A very comfortable and quiet stay in this guesthouse. The on-site manager (owner?) was extremely welcoming and helpful and nothing was too much trouble which made for a relaxed stay. I have a room overlooking the sea with the bed facing the window so I sat in bed and enjoyed the view!"

"An enjoyable weekend break, the room was very spacious with a large bathroom and powerful shower. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a self service breakfast was available with cereals, bread for toasting (there was also bacon, scambled egg and beans available). There was off road parking on site for all those staying there. The booking in process prior to arrival was very clear and concise"
