"Great location to explore the Peaks and views from the village are breathtaking. Three local pubs but didn’t serve the food and unfortunately the fish and chip shot is closed until early January so we had to buy some food from the CooP. Parking is tricky unless you have a really small car but we’ve managed to park not far from the property and we could walk to places locally. The cottage has all you’d need for a few days stay and any questions we’ve had were quickly responded to by the owner...

Everything was clean, Simon was wonderfully communicative, and we loved the tip about going to the Ashford Arms for dinner. It was so good we went back the next night. "A well equipped and beautifully located cottage. Good position for visiting Buxton, Chester Zoo and all the Peak District walks. Good Local amenities. Friendly owners on hand for any issues or queries. Easily sleeps 8 (2 double and 2 twin room) and has two lovely hot showers. Plenty space for families!"

"The accommodation was superb. Very clean and the hosts had thought of everything. We even got a lovely bag of goodies on arrival. It was absolutely fabulous. "

It was a treat to find the Merchant’s Yard just steps away and the bakery was great too. The cottage itself was equipped and furnished to a high level and communication before arrival was excellent. "A fantastic find for our needs. The owner was exceptionally helpful. Central to the city. Great value for money. We had a great room. However a few things to make it better : 1- the oven/microwave didn’t work even after trying a few times. It needs a master in engineering to make it work. Maybe stick with 2 separate items. 2- Not ideal for light sleepers. Can sadly hear a lot through the walls. 3- although the apartment was clean. I am not too sure the hoover was done. "This is a beautiful quiet cottage finished to a high standard with everything you need for a chilled relaxing holiday.Communication with Ray and Julie was great and the pool was an amazing addition to the cottage.The location is perfect for walking Dovedale 30 mins, Tissington trail 20 mins and the Old Dog Pub which was very welcoming 10 minutes walk.Cannot fault the whole package and would not hesitate to revisit in the future."
