"Old Tudor hotel in centre of Tewkesbury. Although you got the feel of a Tudor property, the rooms & bathrooms have been refurbished with modern fittings, & walk in showers. No lifts & bedrooms over two floors so there can be quite a few steps. All staff very friendly, helpful & polite. Bar closed 10.30pm even for residents Thursday which was a surprise. "This is a very pleasant place. It is tastefully decorated and the bar offers a lovely space to grab a drink or a coffee at the end of the day. The breakfast area is elegant and overlooks the green back garden. My room was underground. It wasn’t dark but I could hear the cars that parked nearby and people walking on the road. "The stay was fine. The parking was confusing. I pre-paid £5 but parked in the NCP (saying so when I arrived). I have just had a fine from NCP for £40. I now see this is not part of the Zone 10 street parking. The guest house should make this very clear on arrival when they accept payment. "
