"It is a lovely period building which i liked a lot. It felt very up market even though the prices are very reasonable. The basin plug in the bathroom became stuck down which was the only negative point, but that is more down to the style of plug as I have similar in my own house and they are prone to sticking down unless lubricated often with wd-40 or some other similar application (did not affect my overnight stay) The pub over the road houses the dining section, the food and service was very...

"Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and warm but the water pressure was low so only a trickle from the taps. Steep steps to dining area/bar so not suitable for disabled people."

"Good stay at the Pear Tree Inn! Staff were great, calling me as I was arriving late and sending across a AVT invoice quickly (as there is no one there on checkout)! There is no hairdryer in the room - I didn’t realise this until the morning and there was no one downstairs to ask! "

"The room was nice, good layout, and the sofa area in the conservatory and outdoor space was a bonus. And it was quiet too, which I was worried about as it's a pub. The room wasn't super clean, there were dead bugs and stuff. And some of the room felt tired and tatty. But that wouldn't stop me staying again. However, the biggest issue was there is no wifi in the rooms, and the phone signal isn't great. As I was there to work it was a problem. "

"Beautiful building and really friendly staff. Our room was over the restaurant so very noisy but didn’t go on till late so didn’t really bother us. The bathroom could do with a tidy up. Black limescale in the toilet and bath and carpet a bit grubby. Breakfast was really good with a good choice and as much coffee and tea as you want. Overall a good visit."
