"Really lovely ‘get away from everyday life’ holiday. Super helpful and friendly staff (who work so hard), food choices were great and liked how quiet and peaceful the small island is. So relaxing made it very hard to want to do anything! Only tip to add: if you’re a pasty white ‘gringo’, make sure to pack a decent insect repellent as when the wind drops and the sun is out, so are the sand flies. The staff recommend baby oil! Would recommend coming to Shaka Caye in a heartbeat."

"Loved the hotel itself. There was construction occuring on the roof top during my stay. When that area is complete it will be awesome. The only thing i missed was a private beach area for guests, but it wasnt a huge deal breaker, because the hotel itself is super nice."
