If I was being overly critical then I would say that the hot tub is too small for the number of guests and the television in the room had 5 English language channels and 15 German language channels (which seems unusual….) Ample parking on arrival and a very friendly helpful young gentleman at reception, he knew the answer to any questions we had and was so knowledgeable - a real credit to the hotel. "Fantastic property. 16 of us for a family birthday. Lots of different spaces so we werent on top of each other all the time. The teens really enjoyed the games room. It was also great having all of us round the huge dining table. Location is ideal so we walked in to Galashiels and also in to tweedbank , no need to get in the car. "

"Lovely spacious well-heated house in beautiful countryside. We had a week of snowy weather which was heavenly. Edward, the owner was extremely helpful. He towed out some cars which got stuck in the car park by the house, provided lots of logs, replaced the washing machine which had problems and was generally a great help. This is a house for people who like old books and furnishings...don't go there if you want modern posh."
