"Photos are accurate. A comfortable rustic house with a lovely garden and pool that provides a secluded peaceful haven for a relaxing time. Surrounded by orange and olive groves. Nice cantina in local village and other restaurants 20 min drive away. Key tourist sites in the east of the island are 1-2 hrs away. You will return home very rested. A warm welcome from Franco, the owner, and Francesca who is a very attentive guide for the visitor, always available on WhatsApp, and speaks great English....

"Le Maria is a very nice house with a wonderful pool and garden area. A happy herd of cows lives on the other side of the garden wall and the clanging of their bells gives a tranquil countryside feel. The owners Graziella and Sara were extremely helpful and responsive. We did not have the problems with electricity mentioned in other reviews. The kitchens (there are two) are generally well equipped but some more pots, pans, kitchen knives and chopping boards would be good to have."

"We had a wonderful time - the bedrooms are all spacious and well appointed and location very peaceful. You need a car as there is nothing within walking distance and the bigger towns are at least 45 min drive but easy to access as are the lovely beaches with their fish restaurants. The owners were fantastic in dealing with any issues - we didn’t hear anything from the agent manager at all during our stay. "A very helpful and friendly host. The accommodation is in need of uprading. The external furniture was of poor quality plastic or old wood without any pads. There were no parasols. The waste disposal arrangements are inadequate. Air conditioning should be installed upstairs as a minimum. The steps up to the town are overgrown and totally unlit. This is not Lucio's fault but he should accurately describe the situation. The property has great potential. Lucio is a superb host"

"We stayed in July with a group of 32- friends and their teenage children. The villa is stunning, in a quiet rural location only minutes to the sea and Ragusa itself.
