"Photos are accurate. A comfortable rustic house with a lovely garden and pool that provides a secluded peaceful haven for a relaxing time. Surrounded by orange and olive groves. Nice cantina in local village and other restaurants 20 min drive away. Key tourist sites in the east of the island are 1-2 hrs away. You will return home very rested. A warm welcome from Franco, the owner, and Francesca who is a very attentive guide for the visitor, always available on WhatsApp, and speaks great English....

"Wir haben in dem Haus acht Tage verbracht und hatten eine rund um tolle Zeit. Der Gastgeber ist aufmerksam und zuvorkommend und zu jederzeit erreichbar. Das Haus war geräumig gut ausgestattet, und der Pool war ein Highlight. Für die Sauberkeit würden wir mehr als fünf Sterne geben. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und die nächste Stadt sind in kurzer Zeit zu erreichen, man braucht allerdings ein Auto. "We enjoyed our stay in the area. Lots of beautiful countryside and the sea in the distance. the house was great for two couples. You should be aware that a car is essential as there is nothing within walking distance. The coast is 10km down hairpin bends, hence the view! Avola and the surrounding area is lovely, much to see and many beautiful towns and villages. The need to get in the car everytime is a disadvantage, especially in the evenings."

"Nous avons passé 17 jours chez Michele et Angela qui sont vraiment très accueillants et facilitent toutes les démarches et tracas. Michele vous fera découvrir son huile d'olive, les figues de Barbarie toutes préparées etc. Le logement est bien situé et permet de visiter la région facilement, bien entretenu avec évidemment la piscine qui est appréciable pour se rafraîchir. "Le Maria is a very nice house with a wonderful pool and garden area. A happy herd of cows lives on the other side of the garden wall and the clanging of their bells gives a tranquil countryside feel. The owners Graziella and Sara were extremely helpful and responsive. We did not have the problems with electricity mentioned in other reviews. The kitchens (there are two) are generally well equipped but some more pots, pans, kitchen knives and chopping boards would be good to have."

Auch wenn Kleinigkeiten in der Küche gefehlt haben (die vielleicht auch die meisten nicht brauchen wir z.B eine Käsereibe) war eigentlich alles da, was man braucht. Die Vermieter haben auch direkt immer alles vorbeigebracht wenn etwas gefehlt hat. Das Haus ist super Videoüberwacht und gepflegt und man fühlt sich sehr sicher."
