"I travel a lot for work and don’t normally like chain hotels but this one is an exception to the rule. Decorated beautifully and in keeping with the building. Very cosy, clean and comfortable rooms with lovely natural toiletries (which are also available to purchase). The DAB radio was a really nice touch as I don’t really watch TV. The bed was extremely comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The food was exceptional! Very high quality and made with fresh local produce. Breakfast was also amazing and the coffee was delicious and fresh. The staff were very welcoming, chatty and helpful. I really cannot fault this hotel. The only slight inconvenience was trying to find the parking as it wasn’t sign posted very well. "

"Building itself is old and rather quirky. Room was small but very clean and adequate for stay. Food both in evening and breakfast was exceptional and there is a good choice of beers. Staff all very accommodating - my only gripe would be that listing should include directions to car park - hotel is on a one way system and the postcode takes you to front whereas car park is at rear. Bit of a mare, particularly arriving during rush hour."
