"Firstly this was my second stay and I was not offered a free room upgrade as they advertise for their rewards plan. Upon arrival we was checking in and the guy at the desk told us the keys are in the door, we went around to the small building and there was no keys, the maintenance man (who was very nice) had to come and climb into the window, whilst he was doing this we realised the bench at the front of the cabin was completely disintegrating. "We have experienced a delightful stay at Halwell Lodge B&B, spending two comfortable nights in the Luxury Double Room, well appointed and perfectly presented, looking out on a lovely garden. Choices at Breakfast were very good and served in great style in a beautiful Dining Room-Conservatory with garden views. Parking is secluded and secure. Can not fault this hotel

"I think this is possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in! The building is absolutely beautiful and with its 195 years of history I found it very intriguing. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating and called up to check we were happy with the room shorty after we arrived. The room was perfect (no5) with the most comfortable bed. The breakfast was all served to you and faultless. There was plenty of space to park, for free and the ground were very well kept. I can not fault this hotel and didn’t want to come home 😂 It’s a brilliant location too with the town centre and hall of Cornwall being only a 10 min walk. We will definitely return."
