Nice old pub, friendly staff, reasonably priced menu. Room was small but nice. Good choice of beverages. However the bathroom was icy cold with no form of heating, the hot water tap wasn't much more than a dribble and the shower very dangerous as it went from scalding to freezing with only the tiniest touch on the dial. My husband warned me not to use it.
The room was small but very well equipped. Very clean. The only thing I would say is the water leaks under the shower screen. Lovely stay wish we could stay longer
As a working pub the staff were friendly and helpful
Although I ate elsewhere most of the time the meal I did have was excellent
I slept well in a clean room
Thanks
Arrived late from train and staff very accommodating. They looked after panniers for a few hours the next day allowing us to cycle lighter around the coast.

Great reception and hosts, room very good as was food.. Excellent value for money. Would stay again.
Stayed night before Isles of Scilly crossing.
Staff were great, food was good. Just needed a bit more TLC on cleaning, especially the carpets.

Room 1 should have a non slip bath mat,a bigger mirror in the bathroom and a grab rail in the shower. Also the many old cobwebs on the ceiling could have been brushed away. Also if dinner and lunches can be served we were dismayed that no breakfast was available and the nearest cafe was not within our walking distance.

Not bad but the shower tray wasn't draining, so I politely informed them and asked for it to be plunged whilst I was out that evening. Now do you think the shower tray backed up the next morning with gross water covering my feet? You bet! And that's how you get a poor review.

We stayed here for one night as we had been to Lands End. We didn’t think there was much in Penzance so decided to go back to the inn for food. We had Fish and Chips and sat in the Garden as the weather was nice. The food was delicious. The staff very friendly and helpful. The Beds were comfy, bathroom a bit small but a great place to stay.
We only had an overnight stay because we were attending a wedding nearby however we wish we'd had more time to experience the pub and food because it looked wonderful. The room was really comfortable and had a wide selection of teas, coffee and milk to cater for all requirements. Oat milk was a big plus for us! Would definitely recommend and would be happy to stay again when we're in the area.
On arrival we were met by Elliot the owner who was very jolly and friendly, the inn did home cooking and being a ex chef I found the food was excellent so much so we ate in nearly every night, they had music , also live music on Saturday but this ceased each night by 10.30pm our stay was that good we can’t wait to return next year
We stayed for one night before going across to the Scilly’s. The room was charming, but small but fine for one night. Bed was comfy. There was only a tiny little mirror in the bathroom which was awkward. Lovely selection of teas, coffee & even oat milk in the room. The staff were absolutely lovely, friendly & helpful. I would stay there again.
