"When I booked this house, I knew it was in the middle of the Hawaiian jungle rainforest and was excited to experience that with my family. I found the driveway and house address easily even though it was raining hard and after dark. When we parked in front of the unit and opened the doors of our rental car, we were overwhelmed by the night jungle sounds. It was a moment my family will not forgot. My 12-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son were visibly nervous and slept in the same room that night with a light on. When we woke in the morning, we were surrounded by an amazing jungle full of life and bright Hawaiian sun. We all fell in love with the place. My daughter asked to sleep in the outdoor veranda. Peeper frogs, morning rooster calls, and a super friendly cat that loves to cuddle. (We named her Tiki). Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your jungle home. "

"Kelly was a great host, and breakfast was very good. House was located down a quiet gravel road. Area felt safe, and host had everything you would need. House was very clean and inviting. Local information was given for our visit to Kilauea. Snacks and drinks were made available."

"Loved our time at the Jungalow. So close to the park!! Easy to “pop” in… we were fortunate enough to see some actual lava flow/fountaining! We also were blessed with a clear night… seeing the stars from the park is truly incredible. Really appreciated the fireplace and the heaters as it was definitely much cooler than the Kona side. Spent some time on the porch watching the chickens… so fun to watch them interact! "

"My spouse and I had the best time staying in Shannon's tree cottage! It was eat-off-the-floor clean when we arrived, and the general instructions on the table were very clear and simple. The dehumidifier was a nice touch, as were the heated mattress pads, which I didn't know i needed in my life until now. It was so nice to wake up to such a beautiful rainforest setting every morning.
