"Pues la habitación muy bien y el desayuno increíble de variado y bueno... Por ese precio!! Impresionante. Pero lo que más me da gustado es el sistema de trabajar. "We traveled to Fermiselle to trace my family roots as my great grandfather immigrated to Cuba from there in the 1920’s. To say that the manager was accommodating would be an understatement. "Out of town, remote n a side lane. Very difficult to locate, badly signposted from town. Car park detached on adjacent open field, totally open to public and therefore insecure. Spacious room. Individual meal prices exorbitant. Swimming pools closed for season, but we had not been informed of this when booking. "

"This is a bed and breakfast, an amazing property in the ruins of a castle. We loved everything about it. The views, the decor, beds very comfortable and the breakfast was also very good. Would love to return. Tania the host was very nice."

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this location. Originally we were only going to stay one night but then ended up staying an additional two nights. The property was beautiful and conveniently located. The whole staff treated us like family specially Agnes. She was amazing. She was so helpful and even booked our dinner reservations one night. She’s the reason that we had no hesitation booking additional nights"

"I like the current standard of the Marriott hotels. Comfortable bed. Nice lighting. Smart TV. Close to lots of cafes and attractions. Luxury surroundings. A bar fridge. Basic coffee making facility in room. Unfortunately there are major roadworks out front of the hotel and nobody let google maps know. Once we found a parking spot, allegedly belonging to another nearby hotel, the garage was easy to access. There is a €12 / night charge. Like many hotels in Spain there is no air conditioning which means the nights can be a bit hot in these rooms. "

Comfortable, central

"Very decent business-type hotel, excellent Big bath, YouTube on the TV, feidge. Bit tiresone the room key controla the eléctrica, so you can't leave your telephone charging - unless you works out that the plug by the kettle works even when you're out"

Poor Hotel.com Customer Service!

"Sadly having booked and paid for this hotel to end the day motorcycling up the Duoro Valley we had an email from you late the night before confirming that the booking could not be honoured and to ring your reservation services line. Which we did twice hoping for an offer of alternative accommodation. Rather than wait on the line your employee (Jimena) confirmed he would ring us back with alternatives. He never did - nor did anybody else. We rang first thing in the morning having had nothing but a duplicate of the original email overnight (circa 0230 Porto time). Clearly no meaningful support could be expected so we requested a full refund and booked an alternative hotel ourselves. Overall not a very customer centric and sympathetic response. To add to the disruption this was my husbands birthday too! We welcome your response. "
