"Enjoyed our stay at Thornton. You need a car to get out and about as nothing is in walking distance but it is an easy drive to lots of places in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Hosts were friendly and checked in with us that all was going OK. Steep steps between upstairs and downstairs so not appropriate for the mobility impaired, elderly or very young children. "

The gorgeous bush lined road in, the beautiful little lane where the site is located, lined with classic baches, the lakeside location, the little street which is like a community space where people stop and chat, the bushclad hill dropping into the water, Hongi's track walking trail I was very lucky to find somewhere so serene and special. The kayaking and swimming just lovely. Definately want to return Caravan environment so well appointed. Thank you"

The kitchen and laundry was very well equipped and the ultra fresh, crisp linen and towels were much appreciated. The bathroom was modern and very clean with a lovely shower. "Fantastic concept but lacks quality cooking items, a fridge way below capacity for the amount of guests that can be accommodated, no Wifi and lacks not having an 80 inch tv in the dining area to cater for sporting groups or large family gatherings etc. A beautiful place with an amazing view of the lake."
