"Howler Monkey was an interesting little place. Family run and in a fairly remote location so we saw enormous, 5 ft. orange iguanas along the river (take binoculars to see them better) and heard the howlers in the area. However, the place could use some work - cleaning, painting, general maintenance, etc. And it is not a 'resort' by most American's description. Our particular cabin was fine but also needed a little TLC. It was 2 doubles with a bathroom door that hit the one bed. And we had a...

"This is a beautiful hidden treasure of a spot. The staff was fabulous and would definitely recommend BEVL to any bird watcher (new or experienced). Lenny was a delightful guide full of information and a ton of patience. This place even has shoe rags for anyone that ends up with yucky hiking boots"

"This property was very quiet and within about 15 minutes drive from the airport. James was very communicative and told us lots about the history of the area and his personal history, which we appreciated. Concerns were that interior doors didn't open all the way, the dish sponge was very old, the refrigerator dispensed water very slowly and I wondered if we should be drinking it, the listing had shown a washer and dryer (which was most probably in the owner's house) and the valve on the shower...

"The Gecko Bungalow is really something special! Scott and Michelle are incredible hosts -- when one in our party fell ill, they went above and beyond to make sure he was well cared for and comfortable, and they made sure we had everything we needed during our days there.
