"Second time staying at The George. Confusion at check in we had booked a pet friendly room which the hotel had no record of. I did have the emails to confirm this but the hotel managed to find a pet friendly room, not sure what would have happened if there wasn’t one available! Nice staff and very nice well catered for breakfast and a very pet friendly hotel which is important to us. "

"Room was small but lovely and clean. The bed was comfy but the room was way too warm, you can’t control the thermostat. The en-suite was nice but only had a bath and was not made aware of this. The breakfast was so so, poached eggs were good apart from the bread was not toasted at all. The service was very quick and the staff weren’t very enthusiastic and didn’t really know the etiquette of whether you’d finished or not. Comfortable, good food, great service

"Comfortable and good food with quick service. Plenty of sockets in the room, in useful places, which is great when travelling for business and having work to do. There wasn't a desk as it was a small single room, but there was a socket, with USB charger on the wall by the bed and a cushion to use, so working sitting on the bed was comfortable and convenient."
