"We arrived in the evening. What a sight we had to welcome us! The beautiful pool was all lit up and the flowers around the pool looked stunning. The next morning we were all gobsmacked at how beautiful everything was. The photos do not do the property justice. The house is huge plenty of room for us 10. The location is beautiful, with lots of lovely walks for the dogs. Miriam is the loveliest lady too, she couldn’t do enough for us."

"We had a wonderful week staying in this property. The rooms are air conditoned with comfortable beds and a great shower. There is everything you need for a great holiday. "Beautiful holiday home in gorgeous remote unspoilt village. The perfect getaway whilst still within easy reach of the incredible cities of Carcassonne and Miripoix. Warm and friendly hosts with owner living close by. 3 storey accommodation well equipped for the 6 of us plus toddler. The mountain breeze welcome relief to combat the 36 degree heat. The pool is a tad cold for our liking but that is our only negative comment. Lac Caveryere a must visit spot for water sports. No idea where our 10...

"From the initial enquiry, communication with the owners was excellent. Anne and Frédéric are excellent hosts, very helpful without being intrusive. The accommodation cannot be faulted. Clean, very well equipped and very spacious. Small but well stocked supermarket within 5 minutes. Larger Carrefour and E Leclerc hypermarkets within 20 minutes. Pleasant 3 mile walk through vineyards and around a lake straight from the Gite with more demanding and walks and hikes within driving distance....

"We had an excellent 1 night stay at Sowell Le Chevaliers. The staff was very patient during our check in. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Carcassonne. The room was clean and nicely appointed with a walkout spacious terrace. We wish we could have stayed another night. The view we had of the walled city and overlooking the river (with bird activity) was a treat."

Hôtel Le Donjon - Coeur de la Cité Médiévale

"This is a historic hotel in the heart of Carcassonne. There are steps to the rooms. It was clean with an accommodating staff. We had a later arrival than planned and the parking attendant waited and got us and all our luggage to the hotel. We were able to access parking after hours also with a code. Breakfast was good. The bar area was lovely. I would stay here again."

"We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The room was an upgrade so we had a balcony and wonderful of the old city of Carcassonne. The bedroom had a huge open plan bathroom with large, round bath. We used the swimming pool, which is indoors and very nice for a quick dip. The breakfast was lovely! "
