"Sadly having booked and paid for this hotel to end the day motorcycling up the Duoro Valley we had an email from you late the night before confirming that the booking could not be honoured and to ring your reservation services line. Which we did twice hoping for an offer of alternative accommodation. Rather than wait on the line your employee (Jimena) confirmed he would ring us back with alternatives. He never did - nor did anybody else. We rang first thing in the morning having had nothing but...

"I would have given it 10 out of 10 if it wasn't the lack of hot water during my husband shower when it was 2 degrees outside. He had to get out wet and have a shower in another apartment as there was no one to fix the issue at the time. The dinner and breakfast were amazing and the service from the waiter as well. It is a beautiful Quinta with great views. The bed and bedsheets were really nice and the apartments are great for people staying longer as you have the ability to cook your own...

"Hotel virtually empty and in need of external refurbishment. The location and room quality are excellent. Restaurant and bar reasonable on quality and price. Located right next to a hydroelectric dam which creates lots of electricity, to be carried away through the many wires and pylons, and a little waterfall type noise. The dam is a little used crossing point into Portugal from Spain. Long steep drive down into the Douro valley, dropping 350. The hotel is clearly little used at...
