"Jardin del Mar exceeded my expectations. The property is beautifully landscaped with both small and large patios in several areas. The room (Delphin) was clean, well maintained and equipped with all of the basic amenities needed for our stay. First and foremost was the view! The property is right on the beach. We watched whales, porpoises, sea turtles every day! The onsite kayaks were great for excursions out to get a closer look at the whales. The town area is about a 15 minute walk along the beach. There are a number of restaurants with a wide range of foods and prices. Don't miss La Cata in the fish market area or La Balina Blanca for their shrimp tacos! Be advised that at high tide, you may have to climb on the rocks for short intervals to keep your shoes dry. Don't ask how we know that. Mario and Yolanda seemed to appear out of nowhere whenever we had a question. Both were very helpful during our stay. In short, it is a beautiful property and I am making plans to return."

"I was very impressed with my stay here. As an American who speaks little Spanish, the fact that there was always a core group of English-speakers with whom I could speak with around the kitchen and living room areas made my stay very “easy” and pleasurable. Many nice amenities here besides, including a regularly available fitness area with classes taught upstairs — and downstairs a patio with espresso coffee, a restaurant and live music on some evenings. A bright spot to hang out for a while in a small, charming seaside town. "

"I needed a get away, nice and quiet and this is the perfect location for it. You are on top of a hill, with the most stunning view of La Cruz. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. I am a solo traveler and they made sure I felt safe anytime. Manuel is around to guide you with all you need. Breakfast is made like your preferences as I am gluten intolerant and it was no issue to give me still an amazing experience. I extended asap and would definitely book again"

"First of all, this is not oceanfront, as the name implies. It is a 5-10 minute walk down a hill past construction to the beach club, which is at the beach. That being said, there is a large, lovely pool just downstairs and we didn't even go down to the beach club every day. There are ocean views from the balcony, but it is a good distance away. We were able to see whales with binoculars. The condo was nice, very clean and had dishes, pots, pans, appliances, etc. It was perfect for our 2 families. However, when we ran the washing machine it dumped all the water on the floor which took us all morning to mop up. I notified the property owner, who sent someone over, but it was not fixed during our stay. We also tried to use the dishwasher which also dumped water all over the floor, and was also not fixed or useable during our stay. The property owner responded quickly to my texts, but I'm not sure what was wrong with the machines and I hope they are working for the next guests. Overall, this was a lovely place to stay. It is walking distance to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and a cheap Uber ride anywhere. We took day trips to Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita, and explored the La Cruz area. Please note, there are no banks or grocery stores in La Cruz and the closest place with these amenities is Bucerias (which we ubered to and from). Also, be sure to check out the La Cruz Market at the Marina on Sundays and go get tacos from Tacos Junior! "
