"nice hotel but pool was out of service"

"We rented two rooms. No heat in lobby, first room they gave me key would not work, finally got into the room and the heating unit was falling off the wall. They moved me to a room where the garbage can was set up outside the room to catch the roof leak. The new room was dirty, nightstand light would not work, the bathroom light flickered when it was on, no coverings on the wall The second guest room we had rented was just as bad"

"We went to visit friends. A very nice stay, room was large with a small kitchenette. Clean and convenient to shopping and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and polite. We will definitely stay again. "

"There was a cost discrepancy when we booked through Expedia and we were charged significantly more than what the booking site showed. Aside from that, the room was clean and comfortable. There was only 1 other guest, so all was very quiet. Breakfast options included sweetened cereal, hard boiled eggs, bagels, prepackaged muffins and waffles. Coffee machines are available when you want a cup. None are in your room. Pool and Jacuzzi area were clean and working."

"The hotel is only two blocks from the La Crosse Center, walkable to many stores and restaurants downtown. It is on the corner of two very busy streets so there is quite a bit of city/road noise. The interior is almost done being completely remodeled which meant very strong smells from the new carpet in the hallways. In the room, the smell wasn’t as strong. The room was clean, good breakfast, and we had a great check in experience and any staff we talked to were very welcoming and nice....
