"Overall this was a nice stay, the hotel has been designed and built very well. It's built on the side of a hill and as such, the higher you go, the better the view. The view over Ierapetra city at night is amazing. The only comment on the room is that the lighting could do with being better at the bathroom mirror and the wardrobe needs more shelves / drawers. This is deep in Kritsa Gorge, one of the many utilized by resistance fighters on Crete in WWII. Though it's a bit rugged, we enjoyed our time in here immensely. We only spent about 2 hours all up and the weather came and got us at one stage. You can do a much longer hike and come out at a village on the other side.
