None of the pool areas had adequate sunbeds or umbrellas, one in each area, so I complained and they didn't do anything about it. They show pool bars in their advertising but these are closed because they do not have a licence. The only thing was that due to being on the hill, some bolt drivers didn't want to go up the hill as the roads were very narrow. This just made the late night outing to minimum. "The pool is really good, food from Fresca restaurant was also good. Villas equipped with laundry room, dish washing machine, microwave, and big grill. All is good , clean, but villa looks tired and needs some cosmetic repair, and more attention on mosquitos which is everywhere. Beddings was not bad, but maybe also better. Check in/out goes in the villa. Free transport to villa market and back. Service is good, staff very friendly and always smiling "

"Everything was pretty good with HOMA. I found the location kinda far from many activities i wanted to do outside of old town. Most rides ended up about 15-40 mins. Check in was simple but they do not have a in-room phone so you have to get an app or ask at the desk. But for a short stay it was not bad at all these are just the things that were negative"

"The staff at GP were absolutely lovely and helpful nothing seemed too much trouble, the only downside of this hotel was the pool area, there are no hand rails to get in and out of the pool, I have slight mobility issues and found it incredibly difficult to get out, the steps are really deep, they could also do with a few umbers for shade. "

"My partner and I recently stayed at the Mandarava Resort and Spa, and we had an amazing experience. Tucked away near the beach in Karon, this villa-style resort is surrounded by lush greenery and offers breathtaking views of the nearby mountains. The entire atmosphere exudes peace and relaxation like stepping into a tropical sanctuary.The villa-suites are beautifully designed to blend in with the natural surroundings, offering privacy and comfort. One of the highlights of our stay was the massage at the spa which was a wonderful and deeply relaxing experience. The treatments from Apple and Milky were thoughtfully done in a serene and comfortable setting, leaving us feeling completely refreshed and restored. The staff at Mandavara were truly outstanding — so kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch that made the entire stay feel even more special. The food was delicious and fairly priced, and I really appreciated how generous they were with bottled water during our stay— a small but thoughtful gesture that made a big difference in the tropical heat. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with top-notch service and a calming spa experience, Mandarava Resort and Spa is highly recommended! "

"This is a beautiful hotel to stay at if you are going to enjoy all the amenities that it offers. We absolutely loved out stay here but we went to patong a lot and island hopping so we did not spend much time at the hotel. If you are planning to relax and stay at the hotel in a quiet area, I would recommend staying here "
