"The carpet definitely needs to be replaced because it doesn’t feel clean and the wall paper could probably use an update but the staff were friendly and accommodating. We appreciated that our pets were welcomed and they were super attentive anytime we walked through the door."

"The Captain’s House was absolutely beautiful, the location is nice, views are amazing, and the home is decorated and stocked with comfort in mind! The parking is just a tad tricky but it wasn’t the worst we have ever experienced. The home is stocked well and we had everything we needed, plus more. The beds are comfortable, plenty of linens available, and we really enjoyed the views and access to the beach. We would recommend this home to anyone who is in search of a relaxing trip to this area as...

"The property was clean with an adequately stocked kitchen if you like to cook when traveling, but was not as depicted in the photos. In the room with the twin bunk bed, the bottom bunk had a full/queen mattress that hung over the edge, totally not able to be slept on. No air conditioning in that room and too hot to sleep. We had to pull the mattress off the lower twin bunk and lay it on the floor of the other bedroom that had a wall air conditioner in it. Both beds were not comfortable to us....

"Beautiful, clean and has everything we needed. Too bad we only stayed one night. Patsy was very helpful and quick to respond to our questions. You know that owners put a lot of effort in making guest feel comfortable. Has its own dock that you can hang out and relax. Definitely one of the bst places we’ve stayed at in our travels."

"Some road noise at night, beds were decent but sagged in middle a bit, continental breakfast was normal but slightly not as good as others though continental breakfast is generally such a poor offering in health terms. "

"This is an excellent hotel in a good location. Room was very nice - a “lodge” like setting. The pool and hot tub were easily accessible. There was a pretty good breakfast included. Parking was good and right near the room. The fitness room is small and the treadmill had some buttons that weren’t working, but I used it successfully for a 3 mile indoor run. Staff was friendly. Overall, very good."

"Great location on water and on walking trail to downtown. Very clean rooms. Poor WiFi service. Management said they are working on it. As a senior I felt the shower did not have a proper guardrail . To small and to low. i felt unsafe while using the shower."
