"Didn't see he host at all during my stay. Although there were no issues, I knew if I needed them they were a phone call away. The room was well equipped with a bath and shower, kettle, hair dryer, towels etc. Very comfortable and quiet. I dropped something out of my pocket and as I was looking for it, seen that under the furniture was covered in dust accompanied by a spider on my towels. I was a little freaked at this, but it's the country. It's to be expected. "

We stayed in the separate annexe which is finished to a high standard with everything we needed and a lovely thoughtful welcome pack including fresh eggs from their chickens and home baked shortbread. Thank you to our excellent hosts Tim and Sheila. South Pool is a beautiful quiet village with a very nice pub. "

"Close to the places where we were visiting. Appreciate the effort to try to keep the room comfy. It was actually clean. I understand that bedsheets and pillow cases are not always changed after each stay but the previous customer was very stinky and left strong smells on the bed sheet and pillow case. I do not blame the inn but it did ruined our comfortable feeling to the room. There’s no breakfast served as stated in the package but we didn’t mind. Expedia might need to correct this."
