"Our stay in Selfoss was great, everything is as shown. This was a great home base for all the sites on the south coast. We did stay one night in Jökulsárlón beings it was about a 4 hour drive to do our glacier hike and boat tour. Worked out great. "

"Grund is truly a gem. It's a beautiful and very comfortable house in a quiet and sparse "neighborhood". It was such a treat to watch the sun set over the Icelandic landscape from the sauna and watch the aurora right from the house (it's a fairly good viewing point with lots of open sky, dark enough though you could drive another 45 min away to be in a totally dark zone). Thorsteinn is a very responsive host and we were in touch during the whole stay. I will be recommending Grund to my friends...

"Choose this place for a great view over a lovely lake, a large deck with a spacious hot tub feed by natural hot water, very clean and thoughtfully built and supplied house, quiet surroundings and the best horse riding experience around! "We had a wonderful stay at this lovely property. Clean, bright and welcoming with very nice homey touches. The hot pot was fantastic after a 6 mile hike. The location couldn't be beat, so close to all the sites for the Golden Circle. Communication with Sven was excellent. We flew in very late at night and his directions were perfect! "

"Greg and Magnea were amazing hosts. Their property is absolutely perfect for a big group like ours were. Plenty of rooms so you can spread the group out while also having big community areas to all hang out in. You could also spread out and have smaller group hangs outs as well. I could go on and on about how amazing this place was!"

"This beautiful, clean and spacious seaside home was our first stop on an 8 day visit to Iceland and we were not disappointed. The home was very clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed for our family of 4. We loved the location right by the water and a 2 min. walk to an incredible seafood restaurant. The town’s location was also very convenient to Reykjavik and Selfoss and Golden Circle sites. We’d return in a heartbeat to this wonderful cottage!"
