" Amazing resort. The cabin we stayed in was the sea view one which had the most incredible view. Walking through the rainforest everyday was amazing, but do make sure to bring bug spray with you. The pool and beach were amazing and always clean. The lounge chairs at the pool fill up quick, make sure to get down there early. What made this place so incredible is the staff. Every single interaction was amazing, they would always go above and beyond for us, including setting up a honeymoon greetings on the bed for our arrival. 10/10 service. The food was also amazing, all restaurants on the resort had tasty food and made it feel like we never gad to leave the resort to eat. Bugs will come in if you leave your door open, but we made sure to go in quick and generally avoided any tiny friends coming in. But the resort did leave bug repellant in the room which was a nice touch, as well as the umbrellas everywhere including in the room. The wifi wasn’t the best overall, which is my only point of constructive feedback. I would recommend this place 100%, specifically because of the staff and how hospitable they were. The spa was also a 10/10 experience, despite those cheeky monkeys running into the reception area causing havoc."

"This place is a longish walk or a short bike / motorbike ride from Cenang Beach, which can be good or bad depending on your preference. The room design, especially the bathroom, is nice for hotels in this price range, and the inside was clean and not overly noisy. Only thing that mattered to me that was poorer than expected was the shower water pressure, which was pathetically weak. Took twice as long as usual to get clean — no water saved. But overall, still a great deal "

"Beautiful property, spacious rooms. Breakfast was good, through not at the level to be expected for this property. Good location at one end of the beach, though swimming in the sea was not possible due to the jellyfish. We appreciated having a second swimming pool with less children. "

"The hotel is a short walk to Chenang Beach and numerous shops and restaurants. It’s close enough for the convenience, but far enough away from the tourist traffic to offer a quiet, peaceful stay. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the Rice Garden restaurant offers good dining choices for dinner and snacks. The rooms are spacious and well designed and the shower and bathroom area are pleasantly modern. The hotel is very family friendly and we felt well taken care of by the kind and helpful staff. We would definitely stay at the Mercure if we visit Langkawi again."

"Spectacular hotel. It was a cross between the Taj Mahal and Raffles of Singapore. It was a regal experience. "
