Our chalet was upgraded to on the water premium chalet after hearing we have stayed there a few years ago. Highly recommend this resort for service, food, facilities and friendly staff. Tourist attractions are near by.

Loved our stay at Berjaya and will be back. The Rainforest Studio we stayed in gave us exactly what we wanted, surrounded by trees, with a view of the ocean. Monkeys were plentiful and a joy to watch but not bothered. Built into the side of the mountain the resort is spread out, quiet and close to nature. If walking isn't your thing there's a bunch of (quiet electric) shuttles that cruise around and you call it can hop on. Food was amazing at all restaurants, staff were warm and kind, bed/room was comfy. The only thing I'd suggest is that kids club was aimed at young children. No staff organised pool activities or games for a kid of 8. But he made a friend each day on the pool and they created their own fun. We'll be back!

This is without doubt a spectacular setting! We really enjoyed our stay. As others have said the decor is tired and I would add that the family chalet is still Not particularly roomy. The staff around the hotel are warm and friendly but there is not the ratio of staff to guests you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The food was average throughout, we didn’t leave hungry but nothing was wow or even very good. In reality I think the resort is a very good 3.5 star hotel in a 5 star location. The wildlife was our priority and this did not disappoint, the nature walk with arm was brilliant he was really informative. Having said all the above, we loved our stay and feel that the price reflects the quality as the berjaya is significantly cheaper than both the westin and four seasons on the island. We would recommend to friends! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, just don’t go with illusions of 5 star service or amenities.

Generally a great property and wonderful beach.For the beach towels one has to walk up to the pool area to get and return towels which can be a small hike in the hot sun. Great Thai restaurant and service. Dayana and Brassarie were great restaurants. However it always took time for the wait staff to get your order. You had to wave them down for additional service and to obtain your bill after you were done. None of these issues would deter me from returning.

Lovely place on sprawling property. Food is unbeatable. We found no need to go anywhere else to eat. Staff are amazing, and the tour to Kilim Eco Park they arranged was fantastic. The guide was a naturalist with great respect for the area. Highly recommend going with their guide. Didn’t love the private beach at Berjaya unfortunately. Found other beaches on the island more beautiful and enticing. And the wildlife on the property is amazing!

Loved staying in this resort. The staff were lovely and the main pool area was beautiful. The beach is so nice and clean. I did find the property a little outdated and I know that they are slowly updating the rooms but this would not stop me from going again. Thank you for a lovely stay x

Four day stay after Malaysian Motorcycle trip.
Our stay was amazing, the quiet location and surroundings simply perfect. It is a slightly older resort which is why we gave it 3 for condition but its is clean and staff always willing to help.
