"Their service stood out. Always ready to assist and accomodate. Housekeeping needs to do beater. Daily room cleaning is inconsistent. Towels were a hit and missed. On some days the room was immaculately cleaned and tidied up while on other days it looked like a rushed job."

"The hotel is in a great location. Excellent breakfast options - try the sarawak laksa. Staff are very helpful and the concierge was able to find tours for a solo traveller without having to pay for 2 people. I stayed in one of the older, cheaper rooms and the bathrooms are in need of renovation however it was still clean and everything worked well. "

"This was our second stay at the Marion. It's like spending the night at the museum. You can read the history of the original owner if you spend a few minutes at the waterfront Chinese Heritage Museum. The hotel is very close to bars and restaurants on Carpenter St. that can be noisy on occasion. We have stayed in the Chapel wing both stays and we're not bothered by street noise. "Booked hotel as was walking distance to airport. Wasn't expecting much of hotel. But it was very good. Only stayed one night but wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Night food market close by. Lovely room."

"Our room was not available for unclear reasons upon arrival. Sketchy and passive aggressive management. A cash damage deposit was required at check in without prior notice. A paper receipt omitted the deposit amount. A 48 hour wait for confirmation of a change was responded to only after Expedia intervention. Caveat emptor!"

"First off, it would appear that the owner of the apartment matters…as our apartment was lacking greatly in many areas, while other family members stayed in a tremendously better apartment in the same complex.
