"Easy drive access to beaches and Hanalei but tucked away in garden river oasis. A great value and perfect for two, though another bedroom is available but house might not have been as comfortable asInterior seating better for two. We cooked many dinners at the house and once I got used to older stove, there was everything I needed. Nice to have a laundry too and Mark the host was attentive and very helpful. "

"Nice kitchen setup except non stick pans are shot. Dining table chairs not the best as very tight to get under table. Bedroom up stairs needs fan fixed over by south door. Tried batteries from working fan and still did not come on. Little fridge in that room did not work either. Did not need it but next renters might.Front outdoor furniture needs better pads on the dark wicker chairs. 3/4 inch is worthless. Other 3 chairs fine. Back patio furniture kinda shot especially with no pads. Definitely need to fix or even replace alot of the blinds since there is no ac. Most of ones in upstairs bedroom you have to manually put up and fabricate way to keep them up. Beach equipment great. These are just some things that need address. Overall we enjoyed our stay as we are pretty laidback.Just trying to help for next guests Mahalo "

"Highly recommend a stay for a group—we enjoyed the property with our multi-generational group. We walked down the beach to snorkel and also loved relaxing at the house. Sandy’s Supper Club’s Chef Andy came to the house and cooked an amazing dinner in the great kitchen. A stay. Thank you. "

"If you love crowds, being catered to, loads of screaming kids and tourists, this is not your place. If you crave a slice of local living in a serene, parred down environment with breathtaking views, this will be your jam. Tucked out of the way and secluded at the tip top of the island, you'll feel like part of the North Shore community within days of your arrival. We simply didn't want to leave. Be prepared to do a bit of driving in order to get to certain activities on the island, but it's worth it. We're already planning our next stay..."

"River Estate is a beautiful home about 15 minutes (driving) from Hanalei. I chose this home because we wanted a quiet place to relax after a difficult year, and River Estate hit the mark. The house is beautiful and clearly loved. The kitchen is very well equipped (more so than most I've seen) with an air fryer, toaster, blender, microwave, food processor (most of which we didn't have a chance to use) and very complete set of dishes and glassware. Furniture is comfy, and we ate all of our meals on the screened lanai overlooking the river and the trees. Very relaxing! Bathrooms are well stocked with towels, and there are beach towels as well. We never had a chance to float down the river to the private beach but we could catch a glimpse of it from the road, and it would have been a great place to check out. Alas, when traveling with a little one walking on the road isn't a good option. There are only 3 houses on the property and we didn't actually ever see the people, it's very private. When arriving (especially the first day), be sure to use Mark's instructions, they were perfect. It really is JUST before the two bridges and you will miss it if you aren't watching. Mark was very helpful in solving any problem that came up for us. We were traveling with our 13 month old grandson (for the first time) and Mark was able to rent a crib and high chair for us, which was great, as we had enough stuff to bring for the baby without trying to bring those!We really enjoyed our stay!"

"The most heavenly piece of property we have ever stayed on. Every detail was perfect in the house. Beach was amazing. Short walk to Tunnel to swim and snorkel. Owner was lovely. Thankful we bit the bullet and stayed there."

"This is the third time we have stayed here. I love this house. Everything works and there are plenty of things for the beach and all of it is in good working order. It is on the north end and in such a lovely quiet neighborhood. The beach is close by, but there is also a beautiful view of the mountains from the deck. The outside shower is a lovely addition. "

"Great home. Some people are concerned about A/C which most places on the north shore don’t have. Temps were just fine along with the breeze. Basically a private beach at your fingertips. Beautiful views, cannot beat them. Will be staying again. "
