"Amazing view of Mt Fuji. Decent hotel and some staff that spoke English. LOVED the Onsen. I wish we stayed one more night. BUT fyi…my husband got bug bites after lying on the floor (for his back). The rest of us didn’t. Lovely hotel though. Will come back!"

"Located on the banks of Lake Kawaguchi, with magnificent views of Mt Fuji. Our room had a partially outdoor bath with a nice view of the mountain. Room was functional and spacious. Extra mattresses and pillows provided. Kaiseki breakfast and dinner provided in the dining room that overlooks the lake were scrumptious. From the hotel, we walked along the banks of the lake to spectacular places including Mt Fuji Ropeway, Yamanashi Gem Museum and the Kawaguchiko Music Forest. Highly recommended. "

"Onsen was super clean. Bedroom and bathroom were clean too. We had a gorgeous view of Fuji san! The amenities were a huge plus. Free hair combs, razors, shaving cream, skin care product after your onsen. All in all a very good hotel experience. Wish we stayed longer!"

"Likes: friendly and helpful staff, almost 3 meals per day (breakfast tea and dinner), thought limited in selections, but one would get away with a full tummy. Dislikes: it’s built on a pretty steep hill, it’s easier to get down but a struggle to climb back up unless your fitness level is better than average. The onsen bath is heavily chlorinated. "

"Staff was super lovely upon check in. Please be advised they may need your booking confirmation number if you booked through Expedia or another third party. We got a room with a Mt.Fuji view and it was absolutely one of my favorite parts of my entire trip to Japan. For this price, I can’t recommend HaoStay enough. It is also short walk from Kawaguchiko station & a short walking distance from some restaurants & a convenience store. 10/10!"
