"This was our first time in Roatan. The LaPlacita Inn was a great choice. The hotel room was very clean, the bathroom was renovated, and the bed was comfortable. The beach was a few steps away which was awesome. There were shops located near the front of the hotel and that was a huge bonus!"

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the exceptional service—everyone, including the owners, was incredibly attentive and kind. The hotel itself is spotless, well-organized, and beautifully designed, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant was a true highlight of our experience. Every dish was homemade with high-quality, fresh ingredients, and the flavors were simply outstanding. The fish, in particular, was fantastic! Restaurant servers Eduardo, Anthony, Omar, and Eliot were fantastic! Although we didn’t get a chance to try the diving center this time, we’re definitely considering it for our next visit. Overall, everything about our stay exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return! Highly recommended!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this lovely little resort. The owners Talia and Antonio, as well as all the staff, were so friendly, attentive and accommodating. We loved the peaceful little beach and being able to snorkel right off of the dock. Our cabana was cute and comfortable and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay. The food served in the restaurant was also delicious! We took colectivos to easily get into town, which is about a 10 minute drive. We had a perfect trip and highly recommend Puerta Azul to anyone looking for a small, boutique experience in a quiet and peaceful setting, with easy access to all that west Roatan has to offer."

"We have been here twice now. And again the whole crew from the owner, hotel staff and dive shop do everything to make it a memorable trip. Clean rooms, excellent food and great diving. They all make you feel like family. Couldn't recommend this plac eenough."

"We had the best time. The room was large spacious and very comfortable. The shower was huge! Every morning and evening the Scarlett Macaws would fly around. The hotel is up on the hill with the beach club about a 1/4 mile below. They provide transportation to and from and we never had to wait more than 5 minutes or so. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The location was conveniently located between West Bay and West End. We walked to both. The walk to West end was a bit of an adventure but very doable. I have recommended Blue Roatan to my friends and family and I do the same for you. "
