"It's a small vintage New England Inn - and perfect for those that would rather have a good nights sleep and a friendly atmosphere over the sterility of a large commercial chain. No staff hovering and self check-in. A buffet breakfast of cereals, yogurt, fruit, coffee and tea. The owner upgraded me to a larger room free of charge after I had made my reservation. "We had a wonderful one night stay at the Brass Lantern. Don greeted me when I arrived and showed me the common areas before showing me to our room. The room was very comfortable and clean. The common areas in the living rooms and game room were very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is a short walk to the village center in Stowe and the recreational trail and about a 15 minute drive to the ski slopes. The next time we visit Stowe we will definitely stay here."
