"The house was extremely clean and well decorated. It had everything we needed for a family vacation with young children in Stowe. We used rentals from Stowe Baby rentals that were dropped off at the home which was great. The location was close to town but nice and quiet. Loved it!"

"Property exactly as described. Older house, but very clean - even the downstairs furnace room/laundry room. I was impressed by that! The layout was fun- very spacious, can sleep lots of people. It was a charming place to stay. We used it as our home base for the week while we visited Kennebunkport & Portland for a couple days. Location is perfect & quiet. "If you are good with an authentic rustic environment- complete with small rodent catch and release trap under the stairs, a little water coming in the bedroom ceiling when it rains, bugs galore, and supplying your own drinking water— then OK. Everyone else consider yourselves forewarned. There has been absolutely no maintenance done on this property in decades. The local staff are wonderful."

"We were very excited to arrive at this beautiful location, however, the listing doesn't accurately describe this rental. Be aware that the windows don't close properly (or at all), there is a lot of noise during the night, properly critters. This unit is above someone and the neighbors are quite close. Very nice ferry driver! If you are into a glamping experience, it is worth it, but the price should reflect this."

And I was able to get a haircut right downstairs. The rec path was close and delightful to walk on. But we had no hot water--none--for the entire stay.
