"This apartment and property are well cared for, secure and a short walk down a road to the beach. The apartment has gorgeous views in the main area and primary bed room. There is a river crossing from this section of the beach as well as it is a little far from the main section of town which is great if you want a quieter place to stay but does require a vehicle or quite a walk to get to the restaurants and shopping."

"Fabulous, met all our needs and more. Pool, beach close to everything, groceries and restaurants. Right in town but lots of space and privacy. We loved this and would come back without hesitation. We had everything one would want, beach toys, chairs, boogie boards and ice"

"Central pool and rancho is the focal spot of the facility. Other guests/owners all very friendly. Moderate walk to beach. Unit is a little dated but all is adequate. A/C and WIFI worked well. Only small issue was the fridge is not balanced which caused a big wobble and difficulty opening"

"This place was perfect, centrally located and had everything you need for vacation. We were concerned about the corner location on the busy road as mentioned in other reviews but it was absolutely fine. A little noise here and there but never woke us up or was a bother, rather it added to our experience of a bustling foreign getaway. We used a fan that drowned out 99% of the noise. "My Girlfriend and I just spent a week here and we couldn’t be any more impressed! The views were amazing, especially from the shared rooftop area where the sunsets were spectacular! The host was very friendly and had great communication. It was very clean and great after a long day exploring Samara. Most days we’d walk into town and back a few times a day, however next time we might get a golf cart because we will for sure be back to this property!"

"I’ve stayed here before and I will be back in the future. The condos are beautiful and very large and the neighborhood is so peaceful. I love to walk around the area and see monkeys in the trees. My mini economy rental car had no trouble getting there in the heavy rain, which is rare in Costa Rica. Thanks for the great stay!"

"We stayed here (two couples) for three nights in February. The place was wonderful! We were on the second floor. We enjoyed the outdoor dining space that overlooked the numerous trees, native plants and beautiful pool. We were able to see monkeys and various birds each day. "This place was a great choice, 2min walk from Samara beach, staff was friendly, they had onsite food available, very nice bar beverages options by the pool. Pool was kid friendly with some stairs and nice shade during the day. Room had nice A/C and very comfortable beds, was very spacious and had very nice seating area. Will definitely come back to this hotel with my family. "

"I love boutique hotels and Leyenda is no exception. The grounds are quite beautiful. They greeted us with a welcome drink! We stayed for 3 nights total, family of 5. We had the superior 2 bedroom and the room was good but we did add an extra room after our first night for more space and another bathroom (my fault for thinking the 3 beds/1 bath would be sufficient with two teens). We enjoyed the big pool! Wished it was a bit cooler to be a refresh from the heat, or that a part of the pool had some shade (never thought I’d say that!) We ate 3 dinners here and each dinner was AMAZING! I can not recommend their dinners enough. Warning: the portions are HUGE and very shareable. Unfortunately, the complimentary breakfast buffet was not as good as their dinner. However, the made to order cappuccinos were lovely. We took the shuttle to the beach one day and I highly recommend Playa Carillo as it was the best beach we visited in Costa Rica. Just stunning! The next day we drove our rental car to the beach and back. Overall, I would return here again. For the price, the location and amenities are a great deal. PS. The Asiatic restaurant is not open, which we were looking forward to. Luckily that main restaurant had a large variety and incredible food."

"We had an amazing stay here. The room was furnished beautifully and had a stunning ocean view. We enjoyed the private outdoor space, as well as the lounge area by the pool. Breakfast was exceptional. Highly recommend! "
