"Lovely resort for R&R after our safari. They arranged a taxi to and from the airport which was extremely helpful. They even arranged one for us in Dar es Salaam which was a huge stress reliever. That customer service was above and beyond. The facility had a lovely place to sit by the ocean and pool. The pool was the perfect temperature. Had it not been for the intense sun I would have stayed in it all day. The food was good and they were very flexible on availability. There was always someone there to get you what you wanted. We would go again and stay longer next time!"

"I have not been back to Zanzibar for 20 years, this is my 4th visit. I wanted to bring my children. Zanzibar has changed alot, big hotels and alot of development, not well controlled. This is an exellent establishment. The beach cottages are pretty with fans and an ocean view. Wonderful sunbeds infront of the ocean. We ate at the restaurant twice, i had really fresh lobster, chicken tacos and a very good cheesecake. The rooms are cleaned evryday to a very high standard which is a relief after the sandy beach days. We had our washing done and it was not a rip off like other places we stayed. The snorkelling in their own Dhow was really good and a third of the price of other places. Their captain spoke english and explained sailing techniques along the way. They have a wood pizza oven and their pizzas are really good, the best I have eaten in ages. The staff are professional and kind, their cocktails at the sand bar are superb with fresh juices. We had healthy breakfast option with really good homemade granola and local honey. The reason I am leaving such a detailed review is that I own a hotel and camp in Marrakech and I can see how well run this place is. They care about the beach and their room information educates you on how they give back and their recycling beach trash initiatives. This is one of a few authentic Zanzibarian accommodations left. Jambiani beach has other little places and I would recommend staying here if you want fresh fish, good vibes!"

"Hinestly, this is by far the best place to stay in Jambiani. Assuming you prefer a quieter place than Paje, then this is the place to be. The personal service you get from the hotel manager is next to none! It is very secluded and the food is superb. "

"I did lots of research for my family's trip to Zanzibar because there did not seem to be a lot of accurate information online. I felt comfortable with my reservation at the Marea (fka Geo) and it turned out I was right. From the owners (who may be there to greet you) to the hospitality, and dining options were perfect for a middle class family from the West Coast. The room is basic but comfy enough. You can ask for extra pillows. The besds have sheets but no blankets. This encourages you not to blast AC all night long. Also: the beach. I heard mixed answers about the quality of the beach in Jambiani. Well, I can tell you the beach right in front of the hotel is perfect white sand. The water is not clear. There's some (not a lot for us) seasweed. Maybe it's not as good as Kendwa and Nungwi. But there were almost no beach boys. And the ones who were there accepted a no after the third time. My family had the beach all to ourselves each morning. That's never really happened to us before! Don't miss out on a walk to the village. The people are super nice. Bring something to MOVE Zanzibar to donate to the kids it benefits."

"The Cinnamon Hotel offers an exceptional stay with friendly and professional staff. The hotel is immaculately clean, and the manager, who may also be the owner, was always available to assist. They organized a seamless airport taxi pickup, with the driver waiting upon our arrival. The rooms were spotless, with daily changes of towels and bedding. The shower was excellent, providing both warm and cold water. We appreciated the management's attentiveness, especially when we stayed late; a staff member and a security guard were always present. However, the breakfast options could use more variety for longer stays. For short stays, the breakfast is satisfactory. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. If I visit Zanzibar again, I'll definitely return to Cinnamon."
