"Our group consisted of five guys there for a deep sea fishing trip. The accommodations were perfect as we all had a private room with its own bathroom. The common areas were very spacious and clean. The pool and surrounding gardens were maintained daily. Also the property is heavily protected with locking gates to the street and beach. We will definitely be back!"

"If you want to do Costa Rica in style and in a comfortable and beautiful set up look no further than this house! Clean and beautiful house with amazing views. There were four of us that stayed here for 3 nights for my friend's 50th birthday and had an amazing time. They offer a driver and chef for the house and I highly recommend. "I'm sorry to say but be careful booking here. They did not honor our Expedia reservation and turned us away. We Just flew in and drove from San Jose then had to find another place. Everyone was booked and drove 30 min out of town to find another place. Then Expedia tried to contact them to obtain the refund and they are not communicating with Expedia and now Expedia is not refunding me. "

"Pros: Kind, responsive property managers, close to beach and local food nearby. Cons: Roaches. I was beyond mortified to have had my leftovers in a to-go box in the refrigerator and upon opening to Re-heat a cockroach about 1 1/2 - 2 inches long scurried out!!! Everything we had, that we’d opened we threw out. Upon leaving the room, at about 3:45a we were packing and cleaning our dishes and saw again baby roaches rushing to hide into the walls which confirmed there are roaches in the unit....

"The property was accurate to the description and very clean. The pool area is very nice and we spent most of our time outside in the pool having fun. The home is located in a authentic area and sets behind the jungle so the views was actually more then I thought there was. I will be back for sure"

"Mariposa Villa was very clean, all systems and appliances were working well, and the property manager attended to our needs very responsively. "We spent a week at this beautiful property mid March 2025 for our kids spring break and it was perfection. We enjoyed each and every day we spent here and we thank the entire team who made it possible (Debbie, Kristal and Jairo, Carlos, Gina and Neyali). We used this as home base and did excursions most days (fishing, zip line, atv, massages at the house, sunset cruise) and reserved the afternoons and evenings for beach, pool and relaxation. This schedule worked out really well for our crew....

"If you are a large family this is a great place. Great views from patio close to beaches, town and all the activities you want without a 3hr drive. Natalia was so easy to work with. We used her to book all our activities and she did not disappoint. They all where awesome and worth the money. Highly recommend the Chef service. Can’t say enough!
