"If I could do six stars I would. Booked the trip for my parents for their anniversary and they absolutely loved it. Clean sheets and beautiful cabin. Was told the owners showed up each day my parents were there and offered to serve them breakfast as well. My parents greatly enjoyed the place and said that they would be back. "

"Garden Gate B&B is located near the actual Sturgeon Bay, which cuts across most of Door County from Green Bay . There is a shipyard directly across the street, but it isn't intrusive. Whistles at the start and end of the shift , that's about it. While the immediate area is unremarkable, the place is close to downtown in one direction and a lovely park on the bay in the other. "Ir read a few reviews that mentioned a smell I did not notice one. My room was clean and tidy. the host was really nice and accommodating. It is wonderful that she lets dogs visit and she is a dog lover herself. her dogs do bark but you dont hear them in your room. the continental breakfast was really yummy. The only thing I think I would criticize is the electronics are a bit dated but you dont go on vacation to lay in bed and watch tv so it is a really small thing."

"We stayed in late Oct 2024. Cabin is older, but very clean. Was a bit chilly in the main room in the evenings (temps in low to mid 40’s); the heaters seemed to have some trouble keeping up. There is a wood burning fireplace in the main room which would have helped, I’m sure, but we were just there in the evenings and didn’t go to the trouble to build a fire. "Was very disappointed in our room. We’ve been staying at the lodge for more than a decade and this room did not have a jacuzzi bath tub, even though every single other time we’ve stayed there we’ve had one. Also, the new floors were very unwelcoming and not cozy/homey. We love everything about the Scandinavian lodge otherwise, we’re just very disappointed in that particular room. No outlets on the sides of the bed to charge phones. "
