"This is one of my favorite hotel/Ryokans on Earth. The food is spectacular, the service is beyond exceptional (everyone was so nice, very refreshing after staying in Tokyo), and the onsen baths are divine. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I WILL BE BACK!!"

"The onsen Ryoken is a famous one in Japan as the Japanese Emperors had stayed at the estate for a few times. We stayed at a room with private onsen which is excellent. The food was also great and we had a great time."

"Everything was perfect with this stay. The in-house garden is like a dream, very calm & relaxing. The food in particular dinner was very exceptional, they use high quality ingredients and are flexible to accommodate dietary requirements (with advanced notice of course). Onsen was a very short walk from our room, no need to worry when the outside is cold & wet. The room is fairly spacious, our room comes with a balcony overlooking the garden, with few pieces of distinct looking comfortable...

"Overall the staff at the hotel were very friendly except when we went to the Japanese restaurant to see if there is a table for lunch, we were turn down with a very rude attitude. Also the bed is a bit old, you could felt the spring in the mattress."
