Great Location

"We were lucky to find Big Timbers for our Itasca State Park weekend. The location is ideal being right across the street from the North entrance. The rooms perfect size for a small family or couple. Everything was new and clean and we had everything we needed for a great stay. We loved the ice cream and pizza from the store on site. "

"This property is simply gorgeous tucked away in the north woods. We stayed with a group for a baseball tournament in town and the bedroom and bathroomSet up was so comfortable and plenty of room and privacy for everyone. Gorgeous updates, kitchen stocked beyond any expectations. Plenty of linens, games, and conveniences of home, actually more than home for some things, wow! Quiet lakefront makes for a delightful weekend or week long stay. Cannot wait to come back. Our group loved it. "

Perfect anniversary getaway

"We loved our stay! Many plus points for us - the serenity, location, seclusion, charm. And Christine, our host, was warm and friendly and quick to respond to our questions. We spent our days exploring Itasca State Park and nearby towns like Bemidji, Walker and Park Rapids. So glad we didn't book just another chain hotel for this trip. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for!"

A wonderful place, even in the off season

"My wife and I (and our 16-year old dog) came. My wife and I wanted to see the headwaters of the Mississippi. Our dog, blind and deaf, just wanted to be with us. It is a great location, and we really enjoyed the flock of wild turkeys that visited. This was the last trip our dog took with us (we had to put him to sleep shortly after we returned home). I think of Big Timbers with fondness as the last really good memory of our time with the dog."
