"My teenage children and I stayed just one night at the Greyfriars Lodge. It has a great, central location and the host, Sanjeewa, was very welcoming and helpful. Beds are very comfy too! Recommend this hotel for a short break. It is in need of some renovation but for a short time it is very acceptable."

"OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. "We only stayed for a night, but had a very good nights sleep. The host is very friendly and had supplied lots of teas, biscuits, shampoos etc for our comfort. Nice sitting area outside where out dog cold walk around freely. Lovely place"

"Our stay was fine for the short time we were there as a place to lay our heads but for the price we paid I was a little disappointed. In all honesty The beds felt like a horse has broken them in, we have all woken up with sore backs today so definitely need adjusting (or even a mattress topper) the curtains were very thin so we were all woken up with the light first thing which was also frustrating as we wanted to make the most of the rest. "Lovely location and site on the farm. Was a bit surprised at the small size of the Lodge itself but w made it ours and had a fantastic time! Great bbq table at the back and wonderful tour of the farm by Emma. Julian and family were also lovely."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. Host was excellent: knowledgeable and welcoming. Location was good, secluded enough but easy to get to all areas of the island. Food selection in kitchen was fab and available 24/7, never had that at a b&b before. Room comfortable and internet readily available too. "

"Hidden gem is just that a hidden gem, it's location is easily walkable to the shops, restaurants, pub, the beach and much more. It's quiet enough with maybe a little noise from passing traffic, it's compact but comes with enough space for what you need and I couldn't have asked for a better host, communication was brilliant and she was happy to help with any issues I may have had. Will definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay near the seaside."

"The Abode Canterbury is an excellent hotel located in the heart of Canterbury. From a convenience point of view, everything is close by - you've got a convenience store, lots of restaurants, and easy walking distance to the cathedral and other visitor attractions. The staff was friendly and service was excellent. For North American travelers looking for king size beds, this hotel does have them, but you need to ask for "Super King" beds specifically. If we find ourselves in England again and an Abode hotel is available, we would absolutely consider staying there again."

Lovely

"Really lovely place to stay. The view from our bedroom was beautiful (well-manicured golf course) and our bathroom was brand new. Our room was clearly well sound-proofed as we didnt hear a thing when we were in our room (Kimberley). Service was kind and polite. There is no sauna anymore but there is a swimming pool. Decent breakfast. Only slight issue was we noticed an electric socket was a bit loose, other than that couldnt have faulted the stay."

"Stayed for just one night and everything was excellent from moment arrived to the moment we checked out.Had breakfast which was excellent and room was very nice with lovely beds If I did have a small complaint it would be maybe a small fridge would’ve gone down well"
