"We stayed here as a couple but also as part of a larger family group, including my niece and nephew (12 and 8 respectively). Our room was the Illingworth room. It was huge, facing out across the road to the lovely old church. Road noise was minimal and the bed extremely comfy with good pillows which were not too soft, perfect for us. We slept well. Food was delicious - we ate at the hotel for dinner - having the 'pigs' in blanket sharing starter and then both steak pies. Next morning - breakfast was great - although there was no 'bacon' for us - the server compensated by offering us additional sausages - so it wasn't too much of a disappointment. "

"Stayed here in 2023 and excellent once again. Lovely room 1 Pen-y-gent the walk in shower i wish i could take home. Plenty of tea coffee in room and toiletries. Had steak and ale pie with veg and chips. Big chunks of tender meat in luscious gravy, chips were home made and not the usual frozen ones! Meal was excellent.
