"We arrived in the dark which was an experience! When we got inside it was lovely, with a warm and cosy feeling. Rooms were lovely and everything was very clean. At night it’s is extremely quiet, which is exactly what we wanted and pitch black . Christmas Eve morning it started to snow which was magical. "The accommodation is a 5 minute drive out of Barnard Castle where there are plenty of options for a bite to eat plus essential shopping. Everything worked properly and was clean and smart. The bed was comfortable."
