"The Mariposa was perfect from the start, even during our planning. They assisted us in our trip plans from Belize City to Placenia by booking our flights and providing information. They also provided transportation from the airport to the resort. When we arrived, we were greeted by staff and a tropical cocktail or mocktail. Our accommodations in the tree house exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had plenty of amenities. It is also beautiful. The staff was friendly, courteous, helpful, accommodating, and resourceful. The food and drinks at the restaurant on premises were delicious. There was a good variety of options as well as some authentic Belizean dishes. When I travel outside the U.S., I enjoy experiencing other cultures. We were able to do that at the Mariposa. I’d like to mention that George, Miguel, Donny, and Gladys were exceptional. They went out of their way each and every time we wanted or needed anything. Donny really took special care of us in all aspects of our trip- food, recommendations for tours and places to eat or drink or shop. Gladys coordinated our tours for when we wanted to do them. "Place is beautiful and just as advertised, The pictures do not do it justice. I really don’t want to write a review cause we want the place for ourselves. Edwin the care take and boat transportation and family were very responsive and helpful and a great family. We could not have been happier with the house and rental. Tom the owner was responsive to questions. We will definitely be back. View is great. Its quite compared to town or a resort and just overall a very peaceful place. The deck is the shaded all day somewhere as it essentially wraps around the whole house. "

"Best hotel we have stayed at anywhere in Belize (and one of my all-time favorites anywhere)! Nirvana pretty much sums it up. Beautiful room, comfy bed and an incredible porch with chairs and hammocks overlooking the Caribbean. Staff is also wonderful, accommodating and friendly. Bonus was the kayaks and paddleboards that were available steps from the sea. Also, the best beach we have seen in Belize (and we have travelled all over). Cannot think of a single thing I would change about this place."

"Loved this place. Exactly what I was looking for, out of the way and minimal humans lol. Extremely clean (it's newly opened) and the staff is extremely hospitable. From the entire staff greeting us upon arrival until the day we left, our stay was the very best. I can't wait until they complete the entire property and yes I will definitely be back very soon."
