"Very easy instructions to get in using the key safe box in the porch. A choice of breakfasts that is sent before you arrive you just had to let Heather have by 8.30 the night before by txting on WhatsApp very easy. Lovely clean room with shower, loo and tv. Great WiFi. Breakfast was delicious and I had different options and Heather kindly stocked up the milks tea and coffee as I was there for 5 days. "Great food in charming hotel. Would have awarded 5 stars if hotel did not continue to run out of certain items on menu/bar. Also breakfast service was not great on first day as waiting ages for order without tea coffee delivered , waitress was unwell but when paying top dollar for food an lodging I expected premium service."

"Sadly this hotel needs an update all round, the restaurant downstairs was great but the food wasn’t exactly great and to the description on the menu. Rooms are quite small, too warm, and Beds aren’t great. There isn’t many options in the Greenock area so this Hotel will always do well but a major refurb would help. "

"The property was clean, comfortable, well equipped and ideal for our stay. Sadly our visit from Canada was due to my dad being end of life. We were so grateful to able to make a cup of tea when we arrived. Hopefully we will return for another stay in happier times."

You Should Stay Here

"This was our 2nd time staying here this year. That should tell you that it's worth going back to. Excellent location, within walking distance to the Ferry Terminal. The cottage is great, the wife loves the kitchen and the Conservatory (all season sun room) is fantastic as well. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the updated bathroom and shower was very much appreciated. Communication with the owner was great, they were very responsive and pro-active to any questions we had. The only tiny wee downside is that the TV is very small. I'd expect a much bigger TV these days, but this is a very small niggle and I'd still give the cottage 5 stars easily. We will be back again, this is our go-to place when visiting this area each year."
