However the TV had no signal and although there was a telephone there was nothing to plug it into. We complained and they moved us to a lovely family room. "We arrived to no electric at the hotel due to storm Bert. Fortunately the electric wasn’t off for long, and we were shown to our newly refurbished room. It was nicely decorated, with a large bathroom and shower cubicle. The bed was comfortable and the room warm and it was quiet. The only downside was I paid for a sea view room but did not get this. I got a room overlooking an over grown garden. "

A choice of breakfasts that is sent before you arrive you just had to let Heather have by 8.30 the night before by txting on WhatsApp very easy. Lovely clean room with shower, loo and tv. Great WiFi. "This is a great guest house and who includes breakfast anymore?? My cousin and I stayed for one night and our room was very warm, cozy, and the owner made us very welcome. He went above and beyond with breakfast the next morning and cooked up custom meals for each of us! I would definitely stay here again since it is in an excellent location, within walking distance to the Largs train station, and who doesn’t love excellent hospitality and service?! "Offered snacks on check-in, lovely sizable, warm bedroom insulated from the possible noise on Gordon Street, as well as the cold. Everything worked well, including the shower, and an excellent Scottish breakfast the following morning, with potato cakes Lorne sausage, black pudding and haggis, as well as sticky porridge. Allowed a late check out, sad to say farewell."
