No fancy amenities, just the very basics. We loved it! Julie was a great host. She is very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to staying here again next Spring or Summer."

"My family of 7 enjoyed the cabin, the pool was fabulous, hot tub perfect for enjoying in evening and fire pit was used for s’mores and hot dogs! The owner was very responsive. I did think the photos made the property look larger than it was. My only suggestion would be a good deep clean and the exterior needs attention, screens were torn and need cleaned, rear porch door needs attention, leak under faucet. Close to everything. "

"Really cute cabin! It was the perfect space for me and 7 of my friends to celebrate my birthday. The cabin only allows 2 cars to park in front, which was originally a concern since we had 3 cars coming. But to our pleasant surprise, there were 2 overflow parking passes available to a lot close by."

"Great little place. We had to buy a lighter. Grill wouldnt ignite. No junk drawer with handy stuff like a lighter. No spices. Salt and pepper to be specific. Had some yellow jackets, due to very rustic windows/doors. Loved the two box fans."

"The cabin is an authentic log cabin with exposed logs on walls and stairs and an open living area. The entry is on the second floor along with one bedroom and bathroom. There is a view of Lake Kalamazoo from both the deck and secluded screened in sitting porch. The cabin is located at the top of the hill in a quiet part of the Saugatuck neighborhood. It was close enough to all of our activities around town while also feeling like a secluded cabin in the woods. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook a few meals. "Everything about our stay at the Sugar Shack in Saugatuck was incredible! The cabin is nestled among other cabins and glorious fall foliage. The property was spotless and had everything needed to enjoy a quiet and rejuvenating weekend. My kids loved the hot tub after hours of walking in the woods. Todd is professional and a pleasure to correspond with. He reached out to make sure we made it into town, were having a nice time and provided updates for our stay. This truly is a special place!"
