"Outstanding property! Absolutely gorgeous, lovely rooms, fantastic bathroom- and the restaurant is top notch! We walked to the beach to see the sunrise in late September- and it did not disappoint. I was really looking forward to staying here and it was excellent in every single way!!!"

"A lovely stay with everything in place for travellers. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, which is appreciated for visitors. Good facilities for guests to enjoy a tasty breakfast. lunch and evening meal. I was very appreciative of being able to leave my overnight bag when out for a meeting."

"Clean & basic but comfortable. Street parking free after 5pm - 9 am nearby. Stairs & lift available. Had dinner in pub after a couple of beers and was good. Barmaid Anita brilliant! "

"It was a privilege to stay in such a beautiful property. Everything was great. Friendly host, great room and breakfast. Easy parking and right on the NC 500 route."

"Got an upgrade from a single bed at the shore to a double within the larger Kirkwall hotel and the room was beautiful. For what I paid It was fantastic value for money. I would have given five stars but for one niggle. Room 215 could do with sound proofing as I heard two people speaking until the early hours either in my neighbouring room, or between levels. I had to use my earphones to get sleep to tune them out. I wonder what like it would be if either room was watching a film if I can hear...

"They are lovely people and it is a nice enough hotel. It’s in an out of the way location which was fine for us as we had a car. The food was ok. The room was light, clean and comfortable. "

"Very accommodating and friendly host, nothing was too much trouble. Our dogs were also made to feel very welcome! Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and warm. Breakfast was amazing, nicest haggis I’ve ever tasted. "

"A one bedroom accommodation that’s fine for the 4 nights we were there but a bit small for any longer. The weather was absolutely gorgeous so were out and about evert day, probably get a bit stir crazy in bad weather. Alexander, who manages the accommodations, is very helpful and friendly. "
