The hotel is a bit older in some places. In particular, the beds are really very worn out. However, we have rarely met such incredibly lovely people on our UK road trip. The staff are very welcoming. Even if the building has some deficits, the people make up for it completely.

Really cannot fault this hotel. The location was convenient for the NC500, the room was clean and comfortable and everything was in good condition. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Both the food and the service in the restaurant were excellent. They were very dog friendly and the price for both the room and the food was surprisingly reasonable. Very impressed.

Just back from 5 night stay in Castletown Hotel which was comfortable with friendly efficient staff. Meals were nutritious & delicious! Only complaint would be over the weekend when breakfast not up to their usual standard …no bowls, fresh fruit not replenished & no orange juice. A poor show as weekday breakfasts were excellent!

The staff at the hotel were delightful and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent and gave you lots of choices, including fresh fruit with yogurt. The rooms were clean, a little small, but we spent very little time there, only to sleep.
