"We loved the decor. We spent a lot of time looking at the pictures and the second floor activity room. Unfortunately, some of the castle was closed because it's winter and there was a lot of ice. The room was clean. It had a large bathroom with a walk-in shower. The room was extremely warm and I didn't know how to put the air-conditioner on, so we had trouble sleeping. They had a restaurant and bar, but it was closed. We ended up walking to a local bar, Shorty's Southside, where we had dinner and a couple drinks. "

"My son and I loved this property. It was well kept with everything one would need to stay away from home. Kathleen was great with communication and very kind. We stayed during the winter with the sole purpose of ice fishing but can see the beauty of the property and the surrounding location as a year around destination."

"This is a real log cabin get-away. Surrounded by trees and far from other homes, it is cozy and private. We only used the downstairs but there are two loft spaces upstairs which would be perfect for kids. You do have to bring your own linens and clean when you leave, but that keeps the cost down (since they don't charge an additional cleaning fee like many places do). You can tell it's someone's home which is sweet. We would def go back!"
